Overview:

In this session, the presenter will introduce two interactive learning tools: Voki and Microsoft Interactive Classroom.

Voki enables you to create a speaking avatar, add voice, and publish in Blackboard Vista. Voki helps to motivate students to engage in BB Vista Course content, improve comprehension, use technology in the classroom, and have fun with an innovative learning tool.

Microsoft Interactive Classroom is a free add-in to Microsoft One Note and PowerPoint. It enables an instructor to share PowerPoint slides to student’s laptop via Microsoft One Note. Instructor can insert real time polling questions (Yes/No, True or False, Multiple Choices) in PowerPoint. Students receives the polling questions in their laptop and instructor annotations in real-time with their OneNote Notebook. This gives the instructor real time feedback on how well the students understand their lessons.

Presenter's Profile:

Mr. Tamilselvan Mahalingam is a Business Faculty at the Dubai Women's College, Higher Colleges of Technology. He received his MBA degree in Systems from University of Madras. He also holds several certifications viz. PMI PMP, AACEI CCC, ASQ CMQ/OE and CQIA. He is interested in Educational Technology and Project Management. He is a member of Project Management Institute, USA, American Society for Quality, USA, AACE International, USA.
